Overview

The Political Technology Engineer will help lead data innovation for the Republican National Committee (RNC) Data Department. Engineers will build the infrastructure that powers Republican campaigns and organizations for victory and work with the latest cloud technology to design and implement data solutions. Job Description

• Assist Political Technology Director and data team with the collection, cleaning, transformation, and storage of data needed for RNC analytics and operations
• Utilize innovative cloud technologies to build databases and data infrastructure
• Design data and analytic models to power voter and political insights for decision-makers
• Build ETLs and ELTs to collect and store large data sets for RNC
• Provide direct technical support development projects including specialized languages and processes
• Utilize DevOps and Agile best practices for data and software development
• Work across various internal organizations and stakeholders to assist with innovative solutions and support

Requirements

• BA or BS (technical degree preferred)
• 1+ years experience SQL, Scala, or Python
• Experience managing and supporting large scale cloud services (Azure Synapse or Databricks preferred)
• Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and data warehousing.
• Ability to work with data engineer best practices, including DevOps methodologies, code reviews, source control, and deployments
